Even the title "The Serenity Now" is awkward, putting a definite article in front of a phrase that isn't a noun phrase, but more of an exclaimation, which doesn't fit with a definite article. It's like saying "The Give Peace a Chance" or "The Think Snow".
Although, looking back just now at the script, I realize that this episode had Kramer, with the aid of a hand-me-down screen door, converting his apartment into "anytown USA", as well as Elaine having every Jewish man in New York renounce Judaism with her "shiksappeal", so I guess the episode had some redeeming qualities after all.

Maybe I've just seen it too many times, but to me, George is like fingernails on a blackboard in The Dealership. I've never found the "candy line-up" funny, either. Just me, though! Of course, all the "worst" episodes I've listed have great lines and moments (The Dealership more than the others, even). But in comparison with the all-out greats, or even the "pretty good" to "not bad" episodes...(in the words of Marla in The Ex-Girlfriend)..."They really didn't make it for me...it's just so much fluff."

"The Dealership" was a disappointingly miserable second half preceeded by a terrific first half. The initial scenes with George and the candy machine where great, but when it got to the service window and the ludicrous "candy line-up"... blech. Same with Kramer's test drive: started out strong, then just became silly.
Speaking of which, The Blood also had some unfunny silliness, especially in the hospital: Jerry is told he has Kramer's blood in him, so he starts screaming (?), and then Kramer joins in. Just plain weird.
My other least faves are due to slow pacing, or guests who are boring and irritating--but not irritating enough to be funny (a la Frank and Estelle). For example, Farfalle (sp?) in "The Dog" was just plain annoying, as was Joel in "Male Unbonding". I find Antonio in "The Busboy" pretty boring, although George's Larry David-esque distress and Elaine's frantic driving-in-nightgown scenes make up for it. And I know I'm in the minority on this one, but the Mohel in "The Bris" was so irritating that it made me uncomfortable rather than amused.
Didn't like the candy line-up? Or is it just that it was so funny that it completely blew your mind?

I don't know the name of the episode, but the episode with the wedding in India that started at the end of the wedding and then went backward, timewise. That sucked ass. I think that the writers must have had some rat poison mixed in with the crack they were smoking that day.
Others: the pilot and the finale (started bad, ended bad).
See, I liked the reversed episode because I didn't understand much until they showed what happened before. I don't hink it would have been good in chronological order. Maybe you guys didn't like it because it wasn't standard, but that's what makes it for me.
The Finale, I loved it too. I couldn't WAIT to see the next witness bitch the foursome because I hadn't even realized their were that selfish and bad people, bery bery bad people (with the finger move).
The only thing that disapointed me is that they didn't show Bob Saccamano, although he would have had nothing to testify about.
I liked that episode! Granted, it probably wouldn't have been as funny played forwards.

Seemingly, seemingly...to the untrained eye I can fully understand how you got that impression. What looked like annoying quirks...what looked like one-liners, was actually a very entertaining episode. IMO the criteria for a good episode of Seinfeld is whether it is entertaining and it makes you laugh again and again and for me, 'The Dealership' meets these criteria. Like I have said before in this NG, this is my favourite episode....so if liking this episode makes me an idiot, then please...a little respect, for I am Telsa - Lord of the Idiots.

Well at least give people credit for coming up with material evidence to support their opinions. These things serve as reminders that may prod a "oh yeah, that really was funny" response. These kinda posts beat a simple list of episodes, IMO.
I thought the Dealership had a fresher spin on car dealerships than, say, The Airport had on that well-mined source of standup: airplanes. The Dealership was one of the best episodes from Season 9.... not saying a lot but... eh, it had some chuckles.

I've seen most of the Seinfeld episodes and I haven't found much that was funny in any of them. The characters are very similar--pushy, loud and self-centered--and most of the shows follow the same predictable formula.

You're close to being exactly right. I could never understand the popularity of the show and never found it to be particularly funny. Maybe it's because it was so predictable.

Only one show in aIl the Seinfeld episodes I find myself consistently FF-ing through is the episode where Jerry, George and Elaine do that senior citizen sponsorship thing. Especially when Elaine is cringing at that woman's goiter. I just can't stand that scene. I really don't like the old guy Jerry gets and his rant in his apartment. I find it oddly depressing. Out of 190 or so shows that's the only one that I really have to move it along in parts.
