Larry David will co-write the final episode of Seinfeld with Jerry Seinfeld.
Fans are excited about news that Larry David will return to write the series finale alongside Jerry Seinfeld after being absent as a writer for several seasons.

Sez who? The Cheers finale wasn't as good as the final Newhart, but it worked just fine. Sam returned to his one true love and life goes on as usual - Norm and Cliff and the other regulars will at Cheers tonight....

Larry David will co-write the final episode along with Jerry Seinfeld. Its just a matter of time before the whole story leaks out.
FYI--Larry David also said that although he liked black humor, that he did not plan to kill any of the cast off as he did with Susan's character. (Even though Julia D had often suggested the finale be having everyone drive off a cliff). He said that he doubted it would be the emotional ending that Cheers had, but more of a celebration with bells and whistles. Something that when people turned off their tv, they said,now that was great.
I watched Dateline last night (1/4) and Larry David was interviewed saying he would PROBABLY write the finale. PROBABLY.

it's in either Time (with Jerrry on the cover) or Newsweek (with Mike Kennedy on the cover). WPIX-11 said last night that Jerry would have gotten $125 million if he did the next season, but he turned it down. he can live off the syndication rights at least until he's been dead for a while.
The news is great, but it should be remembered that for the Cheers' finale, its original producer, who had been off the show for a few years, was brought back to write that episode. The episode did not feature great writing, but rather is remembered for the return of Shelly Long. Thus, you can't always go home again, but if anyone can, it's Larry David.
Larry David has only been away from the show for a half of a season now. He is still very familiar with the show and the characters. It will be a great last episode, whenever it is.

he was only away for the 96-97 season and this current season, right? two seasons, or almost two seasons not counting the finale.

He left at the beginning of the 8th season last year.. Which means the last ep. he did was the finale where Susan died. Hmmm, could someone else die this time? Newman "going postal" on the whole team, or Elaine finally killing George.. hehe, the possibilities are endless!!
