SYNDICATION!!!!

1-3.5 mil? Can anyone give me a loan...

Considering what the stations would get for commericals during the show and the price that adverstisers pay for prime time slots, 1-3.5 mil is about average.

do you suppose that we will all grow tired of seinfeld watching it every day? once a week is nice, practically an EVENT! but every day? i dunno.

ps. thumbs down on the seinfeld greeting cards: they don't really match the occasion...

Not only do they not match the occasion, they aren't funny at all-they suck basically, too bad because I know a lot of people they would be perfect for if only they were hilarious like the show!!

Probably not. A local station here in Minneapolis has been showing Cheers 7 nights a week from the day it was put in syndication. A few years ago they decided they had shown them enough and announced they were going to quit showing them. There were protests, letter writing campaigns, tons 'o phone calls, etc. After only 7-10 days of showing Cosby (*blah*) they brought it back. This station also happens to be the NBC station in the area, so it'll be interesting to see what they do.

As someone who jumped on the Seinfeld bandwagon late (beginning of 1992-93 season) I was wondering if there was any news on if and when episodes from the earlier seasons might be released in syndication. There must be a ton of people like me who are dying to see these episodes, and who now know every episode of Cheers by heart.

Any thoughts?

Scott-- I don't know about where you are, but there was an article in the paper in New York today stating that one of our independent channels (WPIX) will start carrying Seinfeld reruns in '95.

Does anyone know if the episodes will be shown unaltered? I know that some shows get shaved down a little(for more commercial time?) in syndication.

Fall '95. In NYC it will be on WPIX Ch.11 likely to air between 7-8pm or at 11pm

Is Seinfeld going into syndication this fall? Will it be national station syndication or a specific cable channel (Lifetime, USA, etc.)? I would think national. --- � 1st 1.11 #2055 �

I noticed that even some of the reruns in the normal Seinfeld slot got shaved down a little... the one where Jerry and George sit down to write the script to their sitcom and they get into a discussion about Bic's and where they're going to sit. A chunk of that dialogue was taken out.

I have a feeling that channel 13 (KCOP in LA) will pick it up... they seem to get all of the reruns, like Cosby and Roseanne, among the many others that they have. Whichever station it's on, it's going to be a very popular timeslot.
