Jerry Seinfeld's a funny, funny man!

Prior to this season, my favorite character always switched between George and Kramer, but this season something weird has happened. Jerry Seinfeld has been absolutly hilarious! Usually his role as the straight man was good, sometimes a touch bland in past seasons. But this year he's beyond funny. Things like the "Game Over" line from The Frogger and pointing out how stupid the antics of George, Kramer and Elaine are have been getting funnier and funnier with each episode. If he doesn't win an emmy this year, something is truly rotten. By the way, anyone know if he's ever won before?

He's never won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, but he has won an emmy for producing the Outstanding Comedy in 1993.

Jerry is a lot funnier than he is given credit for, but he also has generally witty, well-written lines--and plays himeself--which doesn't seem too hard. Michael, Julia and Jason, OTOH, show enormous talent by the nuances they give their "characters," and, especially in the case of Michael Richards, can turn a so-so line into a classic--"look away, I'm hideous!" alt showbiz gossip
