Okay, so while I was upstate I bought a copy of The Seinfeld Scripts, I take it we're all familiare with the book, anyway I was reading it and got to "The Busboy" and that opening discussion had me thinking...who here likes Pesto? I don't, personally I think the green stuff is a dishonor to pasta around the world...and what about Seattle, is really the Pesto of cities? Sure, Frasier lives there, but he's...Frasier...

Granted, our fair city is probably no longer as "trendy" as it was when that line was originally scripted.
Incidentally there's another Seattle reference in "The Busboy" (Elaine's house-pest/boyfriend was from there I believe). (And don't forget we also got Big Stein to send us Jay Buhner in exchange for Ken Phelps... ha ha!)
And finally, the great Pacific Northwest is where Newman learned to climb those man-fur trees!

I have nothing against Seattle...I once considered moving there as an adult...who knows, still may get there, college maybe...But pesto...I have my reasons...

In the early 90's, Seatlle was the hip, happening, trend-setting place to be. Consider: Nirvana (and grunge in general), Microsoft, Starbucks, "Singles", "Here Come The Brides" (OK, OK, that was the early 70's....they were just way ahead of their time).
