re-name the show KRAMER....as a spin off of Seinfeld

all the same characters minus Seinfeld and Cosmo Kramer is the main person

It depends on the situation/writing/ensemble of the new show. "After-Mash" didn't work, but "Frasier" did (at least up to a point---like maybe a couple of seasons ago). "Joey" will probably fall flat on it's face, but "The Jeffersons" and "Laverne and Shirley" were successful. Having said that, I'm glad that they didn't do any spin-offs because the odds of an "After-Mash" are greater than that of a "Frasier".

Yeah, Frasier is kind of a different thing because it was a completely different style of show. They went from traditional sitcom stylings of Cheers to a more sophisticated farcical humor of Frasier.

To take many of the same characters and do the same kind of humor would have been another disastrous recipe for a Seinfeld spinoff, IMO.

But NBC was seriously considering a Kramer spinoff. Jerry had even okayed it/given his blessing. The only thing that hung it up was that Micahel Richards wanted too much money per episode. If Jason Alexander could have appeared in it regularly with Kramer it could have lasted four or five more seasons
