Eleven new episodes left

Don't know where I read this or saw it but as of the week of Jan. 14th, there are 11 unshown episodes left.

Yep, just saw the NBC commercial not 2 minutes ago and they said 11 episodes left.

Commercial stating that there are only 11 episodes left of Seinfeld. They're really going to milk this until the living end. I bet in May, NBC is going to put on Seinfeld commercials on every commercial run, every hour, every day. Just think of the ratings for the final episode, ITS GONNA BE A BLOCKBUSTER!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, that's not all true... almost everyone I know, whether they watch the show regularly or not, hate it or like it, for some reason wants to watch the last show. Strange.

I know, its strange. I know a kid who never watched Seinfeld before in his whole life, who couldn't give a rats@$ about what the show is about, but is going to watch the finale episode.

        Chalk it up to good strategic marketing.  For the longest time we've
been having viewers who hate the show who still tune in (most likely because
they have no lives and a small ego so they need something to bitch about to make
themselves feel good) to make 'Seinfeld' number 1 in the Nielson ratings.  Now
with the finale, NBC will rake in the rest of the viewers who've never even
watched the show before nor cared about it.  Talk about a coup.
        Now the biggest concern is what the 'Seinfeld' bashers will bitch about
after the show is gone.  Especially Justin Tribble, whose only reason for
existence is to piss on the show and its true fans...guess he'll have to get
a life.  Oh well, they could always watch 'Star Trek: Voyager'.

Don't tell me, NBC had that inane line, "ALL NEW Seinfeld." What else would it be... there is only one other option, that of a repeat (or a retrospective look back at the series so far".

Nothing wrong with 'All New'. What gets me is the ad on Fox for an 'All New Ask Harriet" coming up this week.

They had only shown one single episode at the time.
Yeesh.   Even a crappy show like that doesn't go to
reruns in its second week.

Disagree: "All new" is a stupid expression. What is the alternative?

I suppose "all new" could be an alternative to those compilation shows, but it's a stretch, and a dumb one. TV borrows from the soapsellers (how many "NEW" verison of laundry soap are there every year?).

Sure it does! The first one was called "Bosom Buddies" and it aired way back in the early 80's, on the same wonderful network which gave us "It's A Living" and "Police Squad" and "Fridays." Somewhere around here I've got a nice 8x10 colour photo of the cast of "It's A Living" and quite a few of the theme songs on reel-to-reel tape. All that stuff gets trashed from TV stations when a season ends. I worked at a station, so instead of trashing it, I rifled the trash.

This might be a bit late, but what is the airdate of the finale? And does the "Mockumentary" come before or after?
