Inconsistency?

In last night's episode (and I know some of you will freak because I don't know the episode name.) It was the one that took place in the Saab dealership, I have that EXACT same car in cayenne red BTW, sorry anyway... I just want to know where George got all of those Twix to do the candy bar line up? When they showed the machine after the mechanic took both candy bars there were no Twix left, right? Just wondered if anyone caught that.

Jerry frowns when George asks him for the dollar bill, implying that George has money and Jerry is aware of it.

George borrows the wrinkled dollar bill out of cheapness (probably doesn't want to break a larger bill). When the wrinkled bill doesn't go into the machine, George picks up change from under the machine (a total of 70 cents) needed for the Twix. He then gets a nickel from Jerry. Jerry asks for his dollar back and George refuses to give it back ("it's wrinkled; it's worthless"). George then puts the 75 cents in the machine and of course the Twix doesn't fall, etc. At this point we know George has *at least* one dollar, which would be enough to buy the Twix bars for the candy lineup. "King size" Twix (containing four individual bars) can often be bought two for a dollar at CVS, for a total of eight bars... more than enough for the candy lineup which consisted of five Twix bars. He has time to run out and get them while Jerry waits for Elaine to close the deal on the car. After the whole ordeal George gets a sandwich from Arby's, so he most likely had money all along.

But did you notice he wasn't at a CVS??? Candy bars in those machines are a convenience and not priced as a bargain. And when was the last time anyone has seen the jumbo version of candy bars in a vending machine for a low price no less??? There weren't even any Twix left for him to buy even if he had the money to buy ALL THOSE candy bars (which I don't think he did.) Just my opinion though... DrinkJones wrote in message ...

Pardon me if this has been pointed out before...

     Did anyone notice in last night's episode(and again I don't know the
name or episode number) But while Newman and Kramer are in the bookstore
talking to Pam, Newman is telling Kramer what to say. Kramer is reciting a
poem that Newman is feeding him through the book shelves, they are both
reciting the poem simultaneously. Now I know that if it were me I would have
to listen first then recite.
     Were we supposed to think that Kramer knew the poem? If so why was
Newman there in the first place??

I always just write stuff like that off as "artistic liberties." It happens multiple times in every episode if you look for it. For example, in that same episode ("The Soul Mate"), it only took Pam about 5 seconds to make it up to Jerry's apartment (on one of the upper floors) after he buzzed her in. Given all the goings on packed into every episode (which is one reason why the show is so entertaining) I allow myself to let all that stuff go.

However, I think the writers were very much aware of their "shortcuts" in these situations, and even poked fun at themselves occassionally. I refer once again to "The Soul Mate" when George and Jerry have to remain uncomfortably idle for about 10 seconds while the tape rewinds! :)
