Yo Yo Ma

Just so you all know... Yo-Yo Ma is a classical cellist. He is of some kind of Oriental background. I would hate to call him Chinese and be wrong, so I'll play it safe and say Oriental. I was shocked to hear Kramer say that. I was dying. No one knew what exactly he was saying or even what he was refering to, but my years of work in a record store helped me out there... 8)

Yo-Yo Ma was born in Paris of Chinese parents. He is just about the most incredible cellist of our time, if not of all times! I think its great that these comedy writers are showing such impecable taste.

Yo-Yo Ma had a half-brother that went on to become a little known rap star and car thief. This brother was fathered by an african migrant worker who swam to italy from Egypt.

This brother, being a bastard, was the shame of the family; sneaking in to Yo-Yo's concerts without paying, stealing hubcaps, and eventually progressing to a 5-10 year conviction for grand theft auto. the brother was named Yo-Ma Ma.

Acknowledging that Yo-Yo Ma is a great cellist and realizing that this is off the subject, I'm reminded of a story. I used to know this 70's guy who wrote a book called "The Success Factors" or "Breakthrough People" or something like that. I was a compilation of interviews he'd had with successful people. And he used to say that, of all the interviews, he thought one of the best was with that great cellist, "Yo MaMa."
