The character Mr. Grace died (and one can only assume the actor did likewise -- he was getting on a bit.) and the store closed down. When the staff went to pick up their retirement pensions, they were surprised to find out the money had been invested in a hotel. The hotel wasn't doing very well, and most of the its staff had left, so the workers from the shop decided to undertake the resurrection (circa. 1990).

For those who don't know, the actress who played the girlfriend on whom Elaine fell in the health club to find out if the woman's breasts were real is Teri Hatcher, who plays Lois Lane on the new Superman program on Sunday nights. She was also in the movie Tango & Cash. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think Helen Hunt could have some serious competition here! Hmmm...
