Emmy Awards

Michael Richards won again, which begs me to ask the question..."When the hell is Jason Alexander going to win an Emmy?" no offense to Michael, he's been great, but he's already won a couple of times...Jason needs to win one before this show ends

you knew they would give Comedy to Frasier didn't you? I don't know anyone who would think of Frasier as being the "Comedy of the 90's" but if you look at the Emmy awards you come to that conclusion.....and I like Frasier, just think it's a good, sometimes even very good, but not great show

I probably would have voted for Larry Sanders over Seinfeld anyway, but all is not lost...at least one of the 2 below avg shows didn't win..."3rd Rock" and the awful "Mad About You"

I didn't catch the first 25 minutes of the emmy's but, hey I just wanted to say how bored I was with the show. I thought Jerry's speech which I missed parts of was great. I think the awards show is kind of ludicrous sometimes.... Oh well. Andrea

Actually it is the comedy of the 90s, set in Seattle, glamorizing the cafe late lifestyle, etc. :) Seriously though, you know the Emmy's always try to reward shows which have some kind of morals/values and Frasier atleast has the pretense of that while Seinfeld is still a little risque (and I guess that's why we flock to it)

No flames from this "Seinfeld" and "Frasier" fan, but I would say that "Frasier" just had a better year. HOWEVER...I wasn't watching "Frasier" in the early days, but I know from reruns that it wasn't always as good as it has been lately. So the "Frasier" streak seems a little unfair to me, too. IMO, the "Frasier" take on 90's neuroses is extremely witty and clever (like the Crane brothers themselves), but "Seinfeld" & its people are the living INCARNATION of neuroses and achieve moments of brilliance. Julia Louis-Dreyfus deserved an Emmy for her 30-second "full-body dry heave" in "The Little Kicks" alone. If this season really is the last, "Seinfeld" should get what it deserves--plenty of Emmys in '98.

Would someone write some of the speech Michael Richards said? I keep missing the award show when he wins, so I've never seen him pick one up for Seinfeld. Jason Alexander, I think is hated and loathed by most of Hollywood, as is Glenn Close. I have rarely seen her pick up an award for anything....I may be wrong about this..I'm totally speculating about this. andrea
