You know, my wife thinks that Seinfeld is a little to racy for younger ones. Episodes like "The Contest". There are some episodes that I think an eight year old could watch, but I would recommend you record them and view them *before* you show them.
Seinfeld, a show about nothing, really isn't about anything that a child deals with anyway (jobs, men, women, homosexuals, disgruntled employees, insane employers, neuroticism, etc.) so I doubt an eight year old would be enthralled by it anyway unless they want Kramer as a role model. Or, God forbid, Newman!
Bottom line: Don't let the government imposed rating system decide for you. You make the call by previewing each episode. Seinfeld is all in good fun, but it can be misleading to youngsters if not seen in the right light.
