The other 3 (Julia, Michael, and Jason) signed for 2 more years but Jerry has only agreed to 1 more year.

We're not sure. Jason, Julia and Michael have signed on for two more years, but Jerry's only signed on for one. He's said he'll probably make his decision regarding the 10th season in January, after he sees how the 9th is going.

On Larry King, Seinfeld said he would make up his mind in January of the 97-98 season if he would come back for another year or not. He is going to do stand up after the show is over though. He said he wants to work on his "chops" spencer

Jerry made it out like he would not do the show without them, and that he WILL RETURN TO STAND-UP after the series finally.

Jerry said that when the series finally ends he wanted to return to stand up in the small clubs, because he missed the edge that it takes to pull it off, or something like that. He didn't say when the series would end. It seems like every season is their last season, but they keep deciding to return. I read another interview with one of them where they said that as long as it remains fun, they'll keep doing the show. Of course, a million clams an episode dosen't hurt! :o)
