My rating for "The Doodle"...

I love The Doodle. The whole episode is really funny. "...The thing about fleas is that they irritate the skin, and they start to itch. Oh sure, maybe you can hold out five seconds or ten...maybe 15 or 20. But after a while...no matter how much willpower a person may have...it won't matter. Because they're crawling. Crawling on your skin. Up your legs, up your spine, up your back..." "Alright I got 'em!!...(scratching like crazy)" - Jerry and Newman Another funny moment is: "Flea bites?!" "..My ankle is all bitten up." "You got a dog?" "....No." "Well, that is strange!" The whole situation with George is hilarious as well: "She said looks aren't that important to her?" "Let me rephrase that..." "She thinks I'm ugly. I knew it." "Ya see, the thing about it is...there's a lot of ugly people walking around, but they don't know their ugly because no one actually tells them." "......So what's your point?" "The point, George, is she likes you!" "Oh, so what! I'd rather she hate me and thought I was good looking. Than at least I could get somebody else." Very good episode all around

The Doodle is one my personal favorites and while it usually isn't on any top ten lists I've always loved that episode. It was also one of the first one I taped when I thought it would be cool to try to make a collection.

Great lines and scenes in 'The Doodle":

- The "You got a dog? scene is hilarious . The look on Jerry's face when he says "No" is priceless.

- The scene in the art classroom with Elaine and Christa Miller behaving like teenagers and Elaine having to throw out her gum in the waste basket.

-The Viking or is it Doubleday? interview with Elaine and the editor and she does her book report not having read the book is another throwback to High School and teenagers.

- Jerry's parents and uncle Leo thrashing the hotel room is another example of the characters behaving immaturely like kids can.

-Jerry telling George and Elaine : "You know my parents are coming in and I gotta clean up so if you and Potsie are done scheming..." (Happy Days reference.)

-" From George: "I'm grotesque , I look like a troll...."

Lots more in that one and I give it a 8.5 out of ten.

I think it's the next one I'll transcribed when I'm done with 'The Tape".

Another great episode! An 8! Everything with Newman is good! Plus this brings back another favorite character, Uncle Leo! (Hello!) The scene when Jerry and Elaine comes home and Kramer has been in his apartment while it's been fumigated is a classic. "I thought you had a girl in there!" (It didn't stop him from going in anyway!

Great episode ! Favorite pieces :

• Jerry getting Newman to admit he has fleas

- "You got a dog ? " .... "No."

• George's dream of being draped in velvet comes true !

• "Careful Jerry, there are a lot of nuts out there."

• "She said looks aren't that important to her." "She what" ? ...and all of George's rants.

• "The Macinaw peaches, Jerry ! Its a miracle of nature, like the Aurora Borealis."

- The scene where Kramer comes out of Jerry's apt with Jerry and Elayne standing outside. "How long were you in there, couple of minutes ? " "An hour and a half !"

• Jerry'd relatives living it up.

• Elayne explaining the manuscript in Kramer's words

• "I thought they were sending an Asian woman".

I agree with the general consensus, and give it an 8.
