Pets?

How come no one ever had a pet on Seinfeld, well, except Kramer's rooster "Little Jerry". I'd like to have seen Elaine pooper scooping after a St.Bernard.

In fact some media Masters student might want to do a study of the role of pets in Seinfeld. Much like children on the show, they were not portrayed in the traditional warm, loving way. Animals are often killed, kidnapped, cause allergies, act annoyingly, fart, fight, ...

I can't remember any of the others listed, but I do remember that this particularly gassy horse's name was Rusty. :)

What about the doves that Jerry spilled water on? Weren't they to be in the Miss America Pageant before they got "wet"? Did they have names?
