STELLA!!!!

Do you know what the name of the episode is when Elaine gets tranq'ed up by those muscle relaxants and starts screaming "STELLA! STELLA!" I think it's hilarious. Does anyone else have this episode for sale or anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would be "The Pen." You know, with Jack Klompus giving Jerry the astronaut pen, Morty being honored at that thingy for his work as condo president, Jerry going scuba-diving and getting black eyes... :D

entertainment weekly gave this episode an a+, which baffles me. i think this episode is really unfunny.

I agree. This wasn't a particularly funny episode. Elaine's "STELLLLLA" moment was the only highlight ... but it was a damn piss-funny highlight, to be sure.

This was one of those "You gotta have Jewish parents to get it" episodes. Me, I thought this was one of the funniest ever. The way Jerry's folks never even learned how to use the thermostat (that rings SO true), the way the entire condo community got involved in 'the pen incident' (setting the stage for a running joke that would span several seasons), the back-breaking foldaway bed (my grandparents have one), Elaine on drugs, Jerry's explanation about how quickly the time will pass... this was truly one for the ages.

That was one of many. "The Pen" was thoroughly enjoyable and easily deserved the rating EW gave it.

But that's just my opinion. YMMV.

Hey there. Just to offer my 2� (I like making that � sign.): I love the episode too, and I DON'T have Jewish parents. Incidentally, that "STELLLLLA": From "Streetcar Named Desire," no? "On the Waterfront"? Uh, some other movie where Marlon Brando yells up to a window: "STELLLLLA"?

Here's another candidate for least favorite minor character, BTW: Jake Jarmel.

I think just knowing it was a Brando movie is close enough.

And as a purely trivial side note, this episode reveals to us that Uncle Leo's wife (Jerry's Aunt) is named Stella.

I liked Jake. The fights he and Elaine had over Jujyfruit, the exiotic glasses frames from Malaysia and especially the bit about the exclamation points. He was a great former Elaine's boyfriend.

Speking of minor characters, the father in "Malcolm in the Middle" (cute show, BTW) is played by Bryan Cranston who played Dr. Tim Whatley. I was watching MitM on Sunday, and there was good old Dr. Whatley getting stood up by his wife in a restaurant. He ventures into the men's room and has a scene with the attendant, played by the Twix stealing auto mechanic from "The Dealership".

And I read this weekend where John O'Hurley (J. Peterman) will be hosting a new game show this fall. It's a remake of the old "To Tell the Truth", should be pretty good.
