Question on "The Bottle Deposit, Part 2"

I've always been intrigued by the following:

Kramer kicks Newman out of the mail truck. Newman walks to a nearby farm and shares a meal with the farmer and his daughter. Kramer continues to drive, following the mechanic, until the mechanic disables the mail truck with the golf clubs. Kramer picks up the golf clubs, then ends up, voila, at the SAME farm.

How can that be? He continued driving to follow the mechanic, so he should now be in a different location. He had to catch up to the mechanic after stopping the truck, then stayed on his tail, before the mechanic started throwing the clubs. It was probably a significant distance traveled, not just a few hundred feet.

Additionally, when the clueless farm girl says "Bye Norman!" at the end, I always thought that was a reference to Norm on Cheers. They have similar builds. Would it have been funnier if she said "Bye Cliffy!" .....A mailman reference or the weight reference.???

It obviously is near where Newman was kicked off, but realistically, could not be near where the mail truck was disabled, if factoring in a realistic distance traveled by Kramer after he kicked Newman off, to catch up to Jerry's car, tail him for awhile, then the truck gets disabled. Probably miles, which would make the farm house miles away. How would Kramer know where to go to get there if in the middle of nowhere and it is dark? He did not drive just a few hundred yards after he kicked Newman off the truck.

I just think it's lazy writing. If they wanted to make it more convincing, the truck would need to have caught up to the car very quickly and been disabled immediately.

It's like "The Dealership" where George is broke, starving, and has no transportation, but somehow magically winds up with 10 Twix bars not obtained at the dealership, and doesn't eat one.

Newman walking a mile would be anything but easy.
