This episode rules! I forgot how funny it was. Oddly enough, I think the best part was Mr. Costanza: {screaming} - "Why'd you have to put the bananas in there? Yup, this is a special episode. It is one of the best examples of the timing that makes this show great. The separate storylines converging perfectly and naturally at the end, with George gloating about his good fortune, and mocking the Puffy Shirt, inciting the attack by the low talker. Then, seeing all the homeless people in puffy shirts because Goodwill - the sponsors of the benefit - had gotten them as a donation.
If Bach had written comedy it would come out something like this.

Only when I saw it again in sindication did I realize that George had won the contest. I always wondered who did since they nevr mentioned it on the actual show. as NBC would typically put it...a very special episode of Seinfeld. Indeed it was.

Oh, I completely agree with you!! ANYTIME Frank Costanza is on you KNOW it's going to be hysterical! (My favorite was when he called Jerry's parents to tell them that they were moving into their condo complex in Florida---La Boca Villa, or something like that!).
The name of the condo complex was Del Boca Vista.
