Thread where a UK viewer asks about downloading Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes, leading to confusion when someone mistakenly suggests searching for Seinfeld instead.

Can anyone tell me where I can download eps of this show? I live in the UK, and no network has picked up the show as yet, which is a little strange... Anyway, this morning on one of our national breakfast programs (The Big Breakfast), the TV critic made a plea to all the channels for someone to buy this show for the UK! He said it was the best comedy out of the US in years... Which brings me back to my main point. KaZaA and Morpheus have come up blank, can anyone help me? Thanks, Ed.

When you go to Morpheus be sure you are searching for VIDEOS. Just type in Seinfeld as the title/artist and you will get dozens and dozens - I got ALL the episodes that way.

But I think he's looking for episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm", not Seinfeld.

Nah, it's just that these bastards keep talking about related shows like CYE. Daaaaaamn them! Now, if only they'd indicate it in the Subject line we'd at least know that... that... OH! Uh, never mind.

Ok, they were being posted in alt.binaries.multimedia.sitcoms, but I don't know about now, you could request them. If you don't know about Usenet binaries check out http://www.forteinc.com/agent/freagent.htm or look for Newsbin Pro. CYE also exists on IRC, which is way harder to understand if you dont know what the hell I'm talking about. Do some searches for "Mirc" get that running, try connecting to Dal Net then check out #hbo.original.series. That's a channel where people offer hbo shows in avi and vcd format. Lastly you could try to ask for someone to dub you a set of their's in alt.video.tape-trading but since your in the UK im not sure if US tapes work across the pond; that whole PAL thing... Have you checked ebay, and BTW, you better have high speed connection too, each episode, 30 in all, run about 160megs each at least.

Funny yeah, but it's a bit on the whinny and annoying side. HBO has it in the states (pay TV). Coincidently HBO also has the other best shows to come out of US in years. 6 feet under and The Sopranos.

Better no... I grew up in Jersey and the Sopranos ring too true so that aspect of it alone raises it above a mere TV drama.

OZ is a SCARY show I like it, but it's just damed difficult to watch, it's just that it's tough to root for a good guy there. ;) BTW that's the jail they should send all white collar criminals to, esp Enron execs.
