Jerry's Losses

It seems like every other episode Jerry gets hit for at least a grand, usually as a result of some stupid scheme from Kramer or George. Has anyone made a list of just how much Jerry has been screwed for over the years?

You're right. Jerry's paid out a lot over the years.

$1500 for the washing machine $400 for the cable installation (not to mention repair/replacement of the cracked screen) repairs/cleaning of his car (George hitting pothole, smelly valet, crazed mechanic) New sofa ruined (Poppy) many more

Jerry's donation to the Volcano Relief Fund (The Truth) Throwing out all his possessions (The Pothole) Buying back the Cadillac (The Money) Replacing a stolen TV, stereo, etc. (The Robbery)

That was $4000. I think he took an $8000 loss on the Cadillac.

Another one was paying for the repairs to Becky Gelke's car (after it was hit by the psycho-bitch from hell). I think that was about another grand.

Throw in the $300 to buy back his watch from Uncle Leo. On the subject, does anyone find the characters spending/carrying of money to be realistic? Who would carry over $300 in their wallet to go out to dinner, especially in NYC? Along with the above examples of "throwing around money like it was nothing", how about when they bought the Drake a large screen TV for his wedding? The Drake was not even a close friend, and they buy him a large screen TV? 

That reminds me, he probably had to pay for repairs to the car his
'personal assistant' drove into a swimming pool on the way back
from Ithica.

There was that time when Jerry's dad lost his wallet, so Jerry buys him a new one and puts $400 in it. Then his dad throws it away because it has Velcro.

It's so funny how the Seinfelds just randomly throw stuff in the trash...and Uncle Leo is conveniently there to pick it up.

Don't forget the Cadillac he bought for his parents.

Didn't Jerry lose some money on investments that George was getting him in on? There was someone in the hospital that was supposed to be _in the know_ about all of this. Did Jerry lose on this one, or did he just back out before the investment paid off? I can't remember.

Jerry lost quite a bit, whereas George made a bundle.

You also have to take into account that he has also lost a couple of grands due to uncle Leo and his parents (buying the car twice, the watch, etc.) , it seems like if comedians get paid very well.
