it was rumoured last year that a box set of all episodes would be coming out thist autumn (fall).
Is there any further news on this?

Unfortunately rumors on this newsgroup.. or any newsgroup for that matter.. are about as dependable as Clinton "swearing" "I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
I imagine that if Seinfeld does come out on DVD, it will be quite a few years before it happens, especially in light of all the money that TBS paid for the rights to air it. Once TBS has had it for a few years, then we may see Seinfeld come out on DVD. I wouldn't get your hopes up until about 2006 or 2007!!
