Address question

Hey, I just re-watched the episode where Jerry, Elaine & George go to the party on Long Island (I think the episode is "The Party" but not sure)...its the episode where Elaine makes the comment "..maybe the Dingo ate your baby"....anyways:

I just noticed that when they arrive at the party, George's "girlfriend" says "Guess what?! I just sold 129 West 81st Street." Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Jerry's building???? Jerry would surely have heard the comment and would have said SOMETHING about the fact that his building had just been sold don't you think?

However, the character did say "129 West 81st" street in 'The Stranded' episode (trust me). So, its just interesting to me that Jerry or George wouldn't have commented during the show about an apartment in Jerry's building that was so difficult to sell. I believe this is just another case of the show being in its infancy (Jerry's apartment address hadn't been established yet) and the script called for an address in this episode's dialog. Later on in the series, when an actual address was needed for Jerry's apartment, they (likely the same writers?) used an address that came to mind. (It obviously came to someone's mind when they wrote the first script). << Side bar on this: Is 129 West 81st Street an "actual" New York address, and if so, what is located there? >>

You didn't check my web page, shame on you. It has 28 soon to be 37 real seinfeld sites in New York. Anyway, to answer your question, 129 West 81st street is an actual apartment building. And by no coincidence it is where Jerry actually lived in the city. So the address wasn't just thought up because the script called for an address. Really, you should check out my site, I have a photograph of the building.
