I think that the pinkie toe has something in common with the appendics.
The appendics is useless too, and it can explode.
That means that pinkie toes can explode. It doesn't happen very often, but there have been documented cases, and the thing that strikes me most, is the fact that because the toe is on the outside of the body, the explosion is much larger because it isn't contained.
If it occurs while you're in public for example, it can injure innocent bystanders.
Bystanders are always innocent.
I recall one particular case, where a woman was sitting at a bus stop next to a man who had one of his front teeth missing. The womans toe exploded and the nail was forced into his gums, exactly where his tooth was missing.
One of the benefits of having her toe explode was that once it happened, she was able to walk much more freely, which is a natural benefit, and for the man, he was able to use the nail as a substitute tooth, virtually until the day he died.
He died 3 days later when he was hit by a bus.
The very same bus he was waiting for at the bus stop on that fateful day
