i have composed a dynamite script where george gets revenge on steinbrenner for trading him, jerry gets pummelled by an unhappy yankee, newman gets discharged and elaine and peterman fall down into a pit they cant get ut of==do you think nbc would give it a chance-noooooooooooooooooo!!!

As a rule, they won't accept unsolicited scripts. And, you're probably not in the writer's union! Why don't you "air your grievances" with the NBC brass?

The only series that accept unsolicited scripts are the Star Trek ones. Maybe you could rewrite your script with Jerry as Sisko and George as Gul Dukat. Kramer could be Odo (think of the possibilities!) and Elaine could be 7 of 9...hubba hubba...

No, you wouldn't send it to GE/NBC. You wouldn't send it to Castle Rock either. Your agent would. Or, rather, he wouldn't. Because no one buys spec scripts.

Here's the way it works: no one writes a spec for the show they wish to send it to. If you wrote a Seinfeld, your agent would sent it everywhere except Seinfeld. So for Seinfeld, you would send them a Friends, a Drew Carey, etc. You're not selling the spec script; you're selling yourself as a writer.

If you're really interested, you can find out more about this stuff in any sitcom writing book (the few that are out there).

Some places look at specs for their own show -- and Seinfeld could be one of them -- but it isn't the norm. And they wouldn't be interested in buying it anyway. Like I said, no one buys spec scripts. Specs are samples of your work that you use to try and get staffed on a show.

Also, all of Seinfeld's episodes are 100% staff written. The WGA requires that each show give out two (I think it's two) script assignments to outside writers each year, but Seinfeld prefers paying the penalty fine instead.

Of course, it was also just announced that Seinfeld's ending after this season.

I sympathise. I read a script on the Internet that was totally side-splitting, "Bink", about Kramer's quest for individuality, but it was rejected. Spec seinfeld scripts just don't have a chance. Try the Trek people (with a different script).

I had an idea for one called "The Real Job" (it would have been a good season opener this year.

George has an interview with a new company (they do importing/exporting).  They
like him alot, give him a tour of the office, and everyone is pretty much
goofing off, taking long lunches, etc.  George later reports to the group at
the diner that he'll love working there.
Meanwhile, George has sent Kramer for some things he left at Yankee stadium.
Kramer shows up at George's office, is cleaning out his desk when Wilhelm sees
him and assumes he's the guy hired to replace Costanza.  He talks fast, Kramer
is dumbfounded, he has Kramer fill out papers and he's hired- Kramer has
George's old job (when he sees how much money he'll make he says "giddyup!" and
decides to try it).
Meanwhile, Elaine is in a hurry to rush the catalog to the printers AND make a
hot date (it can be with Putty if you'd like) and had talked Jerry into picking
up proofs and dropping them off at the printers for her.  Jerry is busy (see
below) and has Kramer do it.
Jerry was a guest on Charles Grodin and they liked him so much, they asked him
to substitute while Grodin is out with the flu.  Jerry thinks it will be a
great opportunity, but soon finds out he hates all the butt kissing and hard
work and decides he wants out.
Meanwhile, Kramer comes to pick up the proofs from the catalog, and ends up
talking to Peterman himself.  He doesn't want to let on that he is doing
something Elaine should be doing so he but Peterman figures it out- he fires
Elaine and hires Kramer to do her job...  So now Kramer is doing both George
and Elaine's job now.
     George arrives at his new office and is ready to goof off- when his boss
leads him away from the goof off area and into the back room- "where the real
work gets done".  IN this room, it is a madhouse.  His boss says "those guys
out there are just the temps..."  So George has a REAL, hard job.
    Jerry wants out of his talk show gig, so Kramer suggests he "get blue".  He
says Jerry should start cussing and insulting people and they'll fire him.
Jerry agrees but when he starts doing it, his ratings go UP, and he almost ends
up getting Grodin fired.
     Kramer, meanwhile, is exhausting himself working for the Yankees and
Peterman.
     Elaine is desperately trying to get her job back.
     Jerry finally insults the wrong person in national TV (any ideas? You
know, like making alzheimers jokes to Nancy Reagan or something).
     Kramers bungling causes the Yankees to suffer a major loss.  Elaine and
Kramer cause Peterman to go out of business.
     Jerry gets Grodin in trouble with the FCC and can't get good gigs anymore.
     George ends up being so incompetent his company ends up going bankrupt.
    All four losers end up at the coffeeshop at the end- all four the cause of
four different companys going under.

Any thoughts?

HEY! That would be a better LAST episode ever (and an hour long too...or better yet, make that a THREE-HOUR SEINFELD! YEAH!).

Of course, instead of having them end up in the coffee shop at the end...you could have them all go to JAIL instead! (Jerry for something like "inciting a riot" via the Charles Grodin show...George for embezzlement (easy for him to do)...and Elaine and Kramer colloborate on a crime at Peterman.)
