Kramer's First Name

I recently posted an article asking if anyone knew what Kramer's first name is. I received one response from a subscriber who seemed to think it was a trick question. I had never really given much thought to what his entire name was, until a local radio station posed this trivia question to its listeners. On the first day, no one could come up with the right answer. The radio station posed the same question the next day hoping to give away a prize to the listner with the correct answer. However, I never did find out the answer. I don't think it is a trick question, but then again maybe it is.

Can anyone provide me with the answer?

Kramer, the character, has no first name, at least not one that's gone out in any of the episodes.

I believe that the given name of a certain New York City resident, a Mr. Kramer, Larry David's ex-neighbor, upon whom the Kramer character is based, is Kenny.

BUT ---> He's just a guy, NOT the character, who's first name is either null or, according to the Rolling Stone (Ooo, it's gotta be true!), a secret between or among the writers of the show.

This has been discussed ad nauseum several times. Jerry Seinfeld has gone on record saying that the full name is "Kramer Vs. Kramer". There definitely is no other first name ever used for Kramer, so Jerry's response is as good as any you'll get.

Hey Folks,

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I think I discoverd Kramer's first name last night. Australian T.V. just picked up Seinfeld this year and has been showing shows from the early seasons. The one last night involved Jerry's overdue library book, "Tropic of Cancer" and George's gym teacher in high school that gave him a wedgie.

In the first few minutes, after Kramer complains about the people that read the paper at the library just to save a quarter, Jerry says "Hey Larry, let's go to the library." and Kramer bolts off his stool and says okay.

Larry Kramer. Kind of goes doesn't it. Besides, he looks like a Larry, doesn't he?

I sort of remember that episode. Given the fact that they are reminiscing about school days, could this be a reference to Larry Mundelo from Leave it to Beaver? Just a hunch.
