Missing opening monologues?

Why is it that some of the episodes which, when originally aired, opened with Jerry's stand-up monologue, no longer include the monologue now that they are in syndication? Is there really that much of a time constraint that they had to cut the opening monologue? What is the story behind this, and in which episodes is the monologue missing in the syndicated version?

Syndicated shows always have a few minutes cut to make more time for commercials. It sucks but is true. Apparently Jerry had some say on what was cut from each episodes and more often than not decided to cut the monologs. They were separate from the plot so they could afford to lose them. As for which ones were cut, no idea, sorry.
