I watched the Bottle Deposit episode and found myself laughing out loud many times (and this was despite the fact that I was suffering from the beginning effects of what I would later learn was food poisoning).
It wasn't until reading some posts in this group that I discovered what a lousy episode it was. Imagine Newman not knowing what MI stood for and Jerry not calling his car phone to get in touch with the psychotic mechanic. And whoever heard of a mechanic getting so attached to a car? Why did Newman drink all those beers when it would be so much easier to just pour it out without suffering as he obviously did? Why did Elaine tell the Detective that her and Jerry were just Friends? How come the Post Office let Newman drive a truck to Michigan, I thought he was a mailman, don't they have truck drivers for long hauls like that? What did the farmer's daughter see in Newman? And where was the farmer's wife? If Kramer's is Newman's friend, how could he kick him out of the truck without first checking to see if he could get a ride home? Does anyone really believe that Peterman would be playing golf with Ethel Kennedy? I'm no expert but it looked like the bra-less wonder was wearing a bra in the auction house; how come? I thought George's boss liked him. A few episodes ago he was ready to recommend him for a promotion, yet in the beginning of this one we see him chewing George out. It makes no sense!
