Jerry is laughing his ass off. The quality of his show is definitely on the wane, yet ratings are at all-time highs. What was with that "Hellooo" bit? Second show in a row using an 80's pop song on a montage (Sheena Easton last week, Lionel Richie this week). Everyone is becoming a hypercaricature - Elaine the nympho, Jerry the "ladies man" whose character never works the standup circuit these days, Kramer an overly hipster doofus, and George not so much the loser accepting his lot in life but rather a vindictive sort of fellow.
Jerry poked fun at Internet couch critics, so maybe he's been taking peeks at these posts. The list of fixes can go on and on, so I'll throw one out - bring in Mr. and Mrs. Seinfeld from Florida and vist Frank and Estelle Costanza in Queens. The hilarity of those parent-son interactions just might break the disturbing pattern of the last episodes.
Hey, that was one of the best parts. I loved that entire "Hello" montage.
I agree with you about Elaine. As several others have mentioned this whole business of make-up sex is becoming rather tiresome. What I'd really like to see is another J. Peterman/Elaine episode. I would also like to see her interact with the gang more. Personally the Putty character is becoming rather tiresome for me.

I disagree with these last two. Kramer and George are the best things that ever happened to this show. I think both have been particularly hilarious this season, especially in the season premiere where George got chased by the "wheelchair gang". Hilarious!
I'll admit the Elaine segments and the Hello joke (except for the song montage) were rather lame but all in all I've enjoyed this season. I'd like to see the T.V. Guide freak who designed the Elaine mannequins make a comeback too.
What a stupid comment. I think it's just natural for fans who don't like this and last season to keep watching the show in hope of eventually seeing something more to their liking. Also, one of the points of this newsgroup is to be able to give your opinion on the episodes, whether it be positive or negative.
How can we explain this paradox? Well, can't refute the ratings, can we? So, we must assume that you are wrong, and they show is still awesome.

You're right. All music used in every show should be written, arranged and recorded for each episode. Nobody should be allowed to use songs that have already been created. Especially not popular songs. Sheesh. If THIS is what you complain about, maybe your standards are a wee bit high.

Not just the premiere...every episode! They could do it in the opening credits, just like a classic WB program: the Bugs Bunny & Tweetie show. Have all the Seinfeld characters enter boogeying in a conga line.

Anyway, did anybody turn straight back to the Indians-Yankees game last night after Seinfeld to hear the commentator welcome veiwers from the other networks and that he "knew where we'd been" (paraphrasing horribly). Seems the less than useful Fox commentators know a good programme when they see it!
I didn't click over immediately, so I missed it, but I noticed something interesting. The syndicated ep had Paul O'Neill. 15 minutes later, on the same channel, the Yankees game started. Coincidence?
