Had George going to a stranger's house to watch a video? The family was black, and I can't remember the show's title.

that was the episode where George joined a book club but couldn't be bothered reading the book, 'My Fair Lady', so he watched the movie. The video was booked out at every video store he tried so he ended up tracking down the people who rented it and watched it at their place. Incidentally the same family appeared in a later episode of Seinfeld when George was trying to convince his boss (who was black and who George thought looked like Sugar Ray Leonard) that he wasn't racist. George wanted to take a black man to the same restaurant where his boss ate. The man in the video episode refused so George took the pest controller who fumigated Jerry's apartment the episode Newman left fleas in it.
