How about a surrealistic episode where the producers tell the characters it's over?

At the very beginning, Larry David himself would walk out and tell the characters that they're just characters in a show, that he's sick of how nasty they are or whatever he wants.

He tells them how much time they have left and splits. Then, they're on their own with the certain knowledge that their "lives" are over and why.

As long as he's gonna disown the show, why not make the finale pleasant to watch? Hell, once you've got the producer stepping in and breaking the fourth wall, you could pull in as many characters as you want without the need for clips or explanation!

That's not too bad an idea at all. It sounds a little reminiscent of Saturday Night Live's "Star Trek" sketch, with Buck Henry as the NBC exec who boarded the enterprise to tell the crew it's over, and tore down the set around them.

I liked the finale overall, although I don't consider it one of the all-time funniest episodes. Your idea may have worked just as well, and, what's more, it could be done in half an hour.

I think that in the final episode of "South Park", Kenny should get killed.

I'm not huge on surrealism, but this is definitly an interesting idea. I'm not sure how it could've ended, but it's much better than the old "it's a dream" or someone moves away stand-by.
