Question

Viewers discuss whether the maitre'd asks for the group's name before seating them, debating if this is a continuity error in the real-time episode.

I may be mistaken, but I saw this episode again a couple of weeks ago and if I'm right then what I noticed certainly seems odd. I know the maitre'd ("Five, ten minutes") asks Jerry, "How many?" and they go into that discussion about Tatiana before finally answering, "Four."

But here's my question: Does the maitre'd ever take their name? Certainly he uses it ("Seinfeld, four!"), but we should hear him get their name first since the episode's in real time, and I don't think we do.

If I'm right, then this should qualify as a "Seinfeld film flub."

not sure - i'm FAIRLY certain jerry eventually comes back with "four, Seinfeld".
