Costanzas DRIVE ME CRAZY!

I know they are SUPPOSED to be irritating, but George's parents are proving to be WAY too much for me. When they start yelling at each other I cringe. Does anyone else have a difficult time watching them? Jerry's parents are just neurotic (hence, Jerry). George's parents are psycho (perhaps hence George, which makes me feel sorry for him, which takes the fun out of his character because I prefer to believe he chose to be that abrasive and insensitive).

I'm not trying to purposely disagree with you, but I love the Costanza's. Whenver I watch the show, and there is a hint of them being in the show, I can't wait to hear them start speaking. I like Frank Costanza's voice, and his whole dialogue. I think I can appreciate it because (whether it's an act or not) their Queens NY accents are good, and being from around that area, I can appreciate it. While *my* parents don't act like that at all, sometimes they sound like the Costanza's. I guess that's one of the reasons I think it's funny.

I'd have to say the best "Costanza line" I've seen was during the episode where George was a hand model.

Estelle: "George...you want some jello?" George: "I'll take it in my room." Frank: "Why do you always have to make the jello with the bananas?!" Estelle: "GEORGE LIKES THE BANANAS!!!!!" Frank: "WHY CAN'T HE HAVE THEM ON THE SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!"
