I second the motion. Would everybody who has been posting that Seinfeld sucks and Friends is so cool please quit it and start a alt.tv.friends newsgroup or something. It's bad enough I have to catch the last couple of minutes of it every time I sit down to watch the Sein. I find it utterly laughable that Friends is supposed to appeal to the twenty-something generation. Like the waste of celluloid, Reality Bites, this is just a group of unlikable X-ers who do nothing but sit around and complain about how bad their life is and listen to (quote) hip (unquote) music. By definition, I am a part of Generation X (born in '70) and I am sick of seeing my age demographic being depicted as a pack of mindless whiners. True, some of us are, but that does not make for enjoyable television.

I'd hate to think anyone here's listening to you and not watching a show they haven't seen, just so it'll be taken off the air faster so you won't personally have to mute it while you 'get ready for Seinfeld.'

As I said in a different post, a.t.s doesn't mean Seinfeld is all you talk about. Talking about other, similar shows for comparison purposes is fine. That was how this thread got started, and it's still going because I unfortunately couldn't resist junkman's flamebait.
There isn't an alt.tv.friends yet, and it'll take over 30 days to get one. If you're not allowed to talk about something on the net if it doesn't have its own newsgroup yet then the infobahn is short a few lanes.
