Maybe the Dingo ate your baby.....

I consider myself a devoted Seinfeld fan, but as to this day I have never seen the episode when Elaine mutters the imortal phrase....'maybe the dingo ate your baby'...

Could someone tell me what episode this was?

Yes... The Stranded it was. The "Dingo" line is one of the funniest of the early part of the series!

Just out of interest, do people from other countries believe the Azaria Chamberlain dingo/baby story or do they think it is one of those urban myths? I can assure everyone it is very real, but it crops up so often now in popular culture that it seems like everyone is assuming it's a joke, campfire horror story or a slightly bizarre Meryl Streep movie. Australians are sometimes still a little shocked when someone uses it as a throwaway line, partly because it was a terrible thing to happen and partly because at the time the media, courts, police and public treated the family so badly and then it turned out it was a dingo after all.
