Yesterday, on Tom Snyder (I don't know if it was a rerun), Jerry said that he wanted to stop the show because he'd rather do stand-up comedy. That's why he wants to quit, but everyone else on the show seems to have no problem with more new episodes.

And you believed that. Listen each year when the contract comes up for renewal they say well maybe this will be it. Do you really think that Jerry will give up a number one show and $50 million per year. I think not. He gets $11 million for acting, and $3 million per episode for syndication, etc.
