I think it would be deliciously ironic that the only one of the four who never really seriously sought a scriptwriting career would be the one to find it. Just a thought.

It's in its last season, Wed at 8:30. Murphy Brown gets breast cancer and the whole last season is revolving around that.

I haven't even watched it, but the entertainment press have been all over it. I'm surprised you haven't seen anything.

Pretty much a downer, but it allows them to advertise it as "art", I guess. There was a significant effort to kill the show off last year, but with this idea they managed to sell one more year, and it allows the writers to show how sensitive they are.

A friend of mine at work lost his wife to breast cancer last year, and I understand what they're trying to do, but it just comes off as exploitive.

They also used it to peddle the medical marijuana angle a few episodes ago. That got quite a lot of attention in the press, along the lines of the single mom/Dan Quayle issue a few years ago, which is one reason I'm surprised you haven't seen anything about it.

Anyway, far too much about MB, and nothing about Seinfeld so far...

One of the things I like about Seinfeld is the ruthless way they can take a sensitive subject and mercilessly milk it for laughs - like the Bubble Boy.
