I remember some time before Seinfeld had gone out, when the mania was at its top, Israeli newspapers came up with a front page headline- "Jerry Seinfeld Used To Volunteer In a Kibbutz In Israel", and a picture of him from those days. It was pretty exciting knowing he was here. Now I'm thinking perhaps a member of my family could have met him.

Pardon my Hebrew ignorance, but what is a kibbutz?
I thought it was world-wide...(-; Kibbutz is a communal settlement common in Israel. It sounds a lot more than it really is- mainly just a village.
I don't remember what Kibbutz was it.
