Seinfeld Font May Be Here!

I recall recently a few people asking what font was used to create the Seinfeld logo. While I believe that it is a propritary (sp?) font created just for the logo (like the font for Apple), it can be approximated (again, like Apple). I have quite a few fonts installed on my computer, and messed with them to get close to the actual Seinfeld logo. However, there is nary a authentic Seinfeld logo on the web to compare my attempts to (I used the cover of the book "The Seinfeld Scripts" as a guide). I did, however, come across the logo used at Seinfeld.com (which Castle Rock linked to). But that logo is a little different than the one on the cover of the book. Anyhoo, I came up with 5 close appeoximations. Please visit the url below and let me know which of the five you think closest resembles a real Seinfeld logo. The fonts I used are: Bookman, Georgia, New Century Schlbk, Onyx BT Regular, and Palatino.

BTW, Apples font is called Apple Garmond. But it can be approximated with Garmond Narrow I believe.

I'd say the new century schlbk was the closest - athought it would have been cool for it to be (mr) bookman (which I'd put second). I used a Seinfeld Mug (officially licensed) for comparison. The only thing I'd add (if possible) would be some shading around the characters which the logos seem to have.

I think Onyx BT Regular is closer, but it's stretched a bit too much. Actually, only the bottom half is stretched too much. If the 'stretching' can be reduced, but only from where the 'F' is crossed on down, then I think we've got a winner.

But you're right, it would have been fitting if Bookman was the closest.
