I think they should something special for the final episode. The same something special that made them the sucess they have been. We all know that is..........NOTHING! I have a better idea for the final Seinfeld episode...how about they do a special Seinfeld finale about....SOMETHING!

Another way could be to have Jerry state that he is leaving New York forever in the opening segment. Then after the first commercial set, cut to Jerry sitting in First Class. Next to him is the model from the last time he flew first class (from "The Pick") The camera stays focused on Jerry as he sits quietly in his seat, doing nothing. During the closing credits, he wakes up and the entire thing was a dream. OR WAS IT. . . He wakes up to the knocking on his door of Kenny Kramer and Carol Leifer and Larry David are waiting to be buzzed in the apartment building (nice security the last few years) I know that Bob Newhart did this with his show, but it would be a good touch, and an homage to a clever ending of a show.

that doesn't sound very possible. I think a good idea would be to do a show similar to the other 170+ shows that they have done but just with a final closing kinda feeling. I think people like that kinda thing. Seinfeld has been a somewhat succesful show for the past year or so(sarcasm), so why not keep the formula going till the bitter end.
Best Way to end the Show:
No cartoony ending like Jerry getting assassinated by Babu (although an attempt would be funny). Just have them all have everything they wanted in the world, then finding out that they aren't satisfied and the scene fades as they talk about how disappointed they are with all the success they're enjoying
That would be the best way to end the show of all of the ideas I've heard in this newsgroup!

How about a Last Supper-esque show. Jerry, Elaine, George, Kramer, Frank, Estelle, Morty, Helen, Banya, Puddy, J Peterman, and Newman are at the same table. They could use the same idea as the Chinese Restaurant episode where it is a 22 minute time period (commercials are optional but the one's that air should be for American Express, Mercedes, Clairol, and Rold Gold) At the end, Jerry can stand up and say "One of you will betray me" Then the show goes to commercial, only to come back to the closing credits, where George and Newman are shown executing the demise of Jerry (not his death, but something that forces him to leave New York for Del Boca Vista)

OK, here we go. I actually thought up this idea about 2 years ago, maybe they'll do this for the final show.
Jerry announces that he is leaving New York to move to L.A. The entire half hour consists of the 4 main characters sitting around Jerry's apartment on his last night there talking about their lives, their friendships with each other, etc. Very similar to the final half hour of the series finale of "Cheers", if you will. Finally, at the end of the show, they all get up to say their goodbyes to Jerry. After that, realizing that the "center" of their friendships with each other is gone, they (George, Kramer, and Elaine) give each other a standard "Well, I guess I'll see you around sometime" farewell, knowing in their hearts that the "group" has been broken up and it's probably the end of their friendships with each other also.

NO NO NO ! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This is exactly how I do NOT want the show to end. Every sitcom in history does an ending like this, I remember seeing an interview with Seinfeld when he was asked about the final episode. He says it should be just like when you go to coffee with friends, there comes a point where you just say "all right, let's leave" and that's that. Nothing final.
