Speaking of Helen Hunt

Not that I want to encourage all this Helen Hunt discussion, but she's scheduled to appear on Late Night w/Conan O'Brien tonight (2-1-94).

Did anybody see a movie called The Quarterback Queen this past weekend on one of the movie channels? Helen Hunt tried out for quarterback on the local high school football team. She made it and won the state championship or something. What an arm!!

I saw it, but it was called the Quarterback PRINCESS, because she was a quarterback, and then won Junior Homecoming Princess. Look for Tim Robbins in the movie as well.

     Better yet, look for Helen Hunt in reruns of "The Bionic Woman", where
she plays an extra-terrestrial princess.  Of course, she's only 12 at the
time, so maybe she didn't have enough clout for script approval.
     I also think she was on a "Mary Tyler Moore Show" episode (maybe the one
where Murray becomes Ted's speechwriter?).

I saw the movie, but I don't remember this line from it, and I don't think Shakespeare wrote it...although it was pretty good. I think that the last poster there is referring to that Mel Gibson movie. I think he may have gotten HH mixed up with Glenn Close.

It was based on a true story and it happened in McMinville, Oregon. Some friends of mine and I went over and watched some of the filming. Helen Hunt was just a skinny, knock-kneed kid at the time. But how about the boy she beat out for the job? None other than Tim Robbins. For Helen Hunt fans, check out a movie she made several years ago called "Miles From Home." Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) plays an exotic dancer, Brian Dennehy and Penelope Ann Miller have nice roles but HH does quite the little love scene with Richard Gere. The movie isn't too great, but it beats "The QB Princess" all to hell.

Wasn't Helen Hunt in the movie with Matthew Broderick and some Monkeys? I think it was called Project X. SHe was also in some tv-movies a while back, I seem to recall she was in one with Judd Hirsch as her physical therapist and she couldn't walk for some reasonand he tried some experimental therapy on her. Am I loony or has anyone else heard of this? -- Dawn
