complaining about the show

I have one question: If some of you don't like this season, why are you even bothering to watch it, let alone send mail to this Newsgroup telling people about it? This is for people that like the show. I agree that some of the episodes this season have not been as good as some of the earlier ones, but they have their good points, it's still funny, and you have to realize that after close to ten years of episodes, they are slowly running out of plots, and losing their edge, which is perfectly natural: happens to everything. Good things can't last for ever you know.

On another note: I think they could still pull off a good show without Jerry. It obviously wouldn't be as good, but it would be a sort of "combined-spinoff". It would also certainly be better than any (single) spinoff.

I like the show. We all the like the show. I don't know of anyone here who does not like the show. Besides, this isn't a "fan club" newsgroup, at least it's not to my knowledge.

When actors, writers, etc. are getting paid huge sums of money, and ratings are high, I think QUALITY ought to be expected. The fact that the show has been on the air for 9 years is irrelevant. I'm willing to bet that people on this newsgroup, including myself, could come up with plot lines and writing better than some of the stuff that has surfaced this season.

I'd love to see a spin-off. Such as thing is completely "un-Seinfeld-like", but I'd still like to see it.

    I always thought that the idea of the newsgroup was to discuss the show
whether we like it or not.  Of course, some people may go a bit farther than I
would, and criticize every line of dialogue and the camera shots.  There are
also the people that give the one line comments that Seinfeld is a) The
greatest show in the history of television, and if you disagree, you have no
idea what quality is; or b) This show sucks and it is a good thing that Jerry
is hanging it up now.
   I would put myself somewhere in the middle, but I have been critical of the
show.
  To answer your main point, I have thought about missing an episode, but I
have seen some classic shows and there is always the potential of one airing on
Thursdays.
   The reason why I post to this newsgroup is to present my opinions of the
show, and to either agree or disagree with some of the posts on the group.
   If you don't like the criticism, become the moderator of the group, and then
you can censor "negative" posts.
