why is seinfeld conspicuously absent on thursday this week (10/17)? the show in its slot (frasier) doesn't deserve the honour of bumping seinfeld. is seinfeld changing its programming times and, therefore, this is an awkward transitional week?

Actually, the World Series has been on FOX, not NBC. Is just game 5 going to be on NBC or something? (I don't think so, but I'm not sure) Or do you simply mean that they decided not to make a Seinfeld for Thursday (10/24) because they know half the people are going to be watching the Wolrd Series, anyhow?
Right, the entire World Series is on FOX. It appeared to me that NBC just decided not to fight the World Series. All of the other shows on that Thursday were reruns. I don't know the reasoning for not having a Seinfeld rerun, I guess they are saving those for when they can have some viewers.
