Well David, your gross stereotyping of government/military employees really shows your lack of intellect. Since when is a persons opinion that in a specific newsgroup you should only write about that newsgroup constitute as censorship? If you want to talk about Mad About You and Friends--create another newsgroup. I have read many other complaints to this effect and they did not receive such a retaliation. Gvrnmt/mil employees are everyday people. They function the same way as everyone else. Why should their opinion not count? I propose that you grow up and get a life!

First, a rude comment: I was talking about shows worth watching. (I'll get some shit for that for sure)

Now, the real point: Spinoffs don't count. We're talking about independent, concurrent shows where some of the characters [know/interact with] each other.

Are there not current examples of shows crossing stories? Like murphy brown - didn't they have somebody writing a seinfeld script? Obviously this isn't something new - perhaps not a "trend thang" but it's cool right now to do this. Also nbc is doing more while running the credits at the end of its shows, something seinfeld started with the comedy.

Well, Mad About You had definite tie-ins to Seinfeld. Kramer was sub-letting Paul Reiser's character's apartment. He even appeared on Seinfeld. All three shows tie together well.
