Memorable TV characters often become precious things whose memory is not to be sullied by the actor playing them having a career thereafter.
Perhaps they have to play significantly different roles. This strategy has worked well for many actors over the years....Leslie Nielsen was a closet comedian stuck in straight roles for decades, but will probably be best remembered as Frank Drebbin. There are many other and better examples. So as their career advisor [:)] what improbable roles would you cast the main crew of Seinfeld into? Hmmmm...
Jerry Seinfeld: Star of "Horace The Hobo" - Horace The Hobo is the story of Horace, a deep-thinking but destitute former car-mechanic, whose love of children finds him taken into an orphanage, where he now works as a janitor. He's smelly but loveable!
Jason Alexander : Star of "Nastymus - Gladiator of Rome" - A tense and real-life look at the worst excesses of ancient Rome through the eyes of one of its fiercest warriors. A gore-filled political thriller....not recommended for the kiddies.
Michael Richards : Star of "Brian Smith - Investigative Accountant" - Smith is a staid, respectable accountant, whose daily struggle is to ensure all audit correspondence is distributed promptly. His wife Audrey and four kids also star in side-splitting episodes such as "The Missing Keys", "Dad's Lunch Box" and "Just Another Day".
J-Lou (for brevity's sake) : Star of "Theresa - The Albanian Years" - J-Lou plays a young Mother Theresa, contemplating a life of service to God and humanity. She eventually renounces all her worldly possessions and goes to live among the poor of Calcutta, where she advises rape victims not to have abortions, demonizes contraception and ministers to the dying.
Wayne Knight: Star of "Workout World" - Knight stars as the happy-go-lucky Chris Pec, the aerobic-instructor owner of a chain of health clubs and gyms. Pec dates the prettiest women he teaches, and the series follows the hilarious consequences of him trying to keep them all unaware of each other.
