It would appear that's the technique they're using on Frasier with Jane Leeves, but it doesn't seem very successful. I didn't know she was pregnant, but it was very obvious in the season premiere on Tuesday. Part of the problem is that Leeves is ordinarily very thin, and the difference in her appearance is quite noticeable.
Julia wore huge bags in frony of her stomach to hide the pregnancy.

Susan St. James was pregnant about half the time IIRC, and no mention was ever made of the fact, nor was it ever noted when she went from hugely pregnant to slim.
Of course, in "Kate and Alley" they had her with a leg in traction to hide her pregnancy.
In "Dallas" when "Lucy" was pregnant, they had her hide the fact by having a "girl talk" chat with her friend (Played by Janine Turner) while holding a huge teddy bear. The rest of the time, she was off at school or something.

Not only is she thin but she has tended to wear clothes that accentuate the fact. JLD didn't really (The leotard in The Wife springs to mind as a fairly rare exception)

In one episode of "Cheers" they put Diane in the ductwork under the floor of the bar to hid her pregnancy. I think she spent the whole show in there.
