As both a liberal, and a Christian I find this unsupported statement to be undefendable. Can you elaborate?

Here you are suggesting that ALL liberals see ALL rednecks as being a variation of the same person. I doubt that you can support that claim. I will give you that quite often "Rednecks" are stereotyped and that stereotype is dismissed as being a complex person, but couldn't the same be said of feminists, gay people, Grateful Dead fans, people on welfare, homeless people, blondes, lawyers, and groups of racial and religious minorities?

Wrong. Liberals (and here I am talking about myself as well as most of the "liberals" I know) have no objection to the Judeo/Christian theory of creationism being taught along with the Buddhist, Hindu, etc. etc. theories of creation being taught in classes dealing with religion. In classes of science, however, the only theory which belongs is the scientific one.

The opposite is true. It is liberals who fight the large corporations in order to create a level playing field so that "mom and pop" business's can survive.

OK. When is the last time an American business went out of it's way to assure that the air and water remain breathable and drinkable? Take a look at how our major manufacturers are destroying the air and water in Central and South America, in Asia and in Africa when they are not regulated.

The movie you are referring to is "Deliverance". It is based on a book by arch conservative author James Dickey.

Boy oh boy are you sinking fast. The entertainers you are referring to here are demonstrations of labor getting a fair sized share of the pie. In the 1950's, baseball superstars-including Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Micky Mantle, and Roger Maris had to hole 9-5 jobs in the off season because they were not being paid enough by the team owners to survive without a second income. Meanwhile Walter O'Malley, Branch Rickey, and Gussie Busch (the team owners) were making a fortune. It wasn't until the players formed a respectable union that they were able to share in some of the profits. Likewise, TV stars of the 50s through the mid 70s made next to nothing when compared to the money that was generated through their efforts. Sherwood Schwartz makes money every time Gilligan's Island airs. Bob Denver has not made a nickel from the show since 1968.

Imagine the morale of our country if, in a year in which GM makes enough money to give a multi million dollar bonus to it's chairman, they gave some of that money back to it's factory workers instead of laying them off and moving it's plants out of the country.

No. You are complaining because some people, like myself, feel that values should be instilled in the home. I do not want the government, or any of it's agencies telling my children what their values should be. I believe in parental responsibility.

It has nothing to do with disrespecting Christians. It has to do with following through on the wishes of our founding fathers that no church or religion be given preference over any others. Read the First Amendment.

Please elaborate on how abortions are as dangerous as they were in the days of coat hangers. What percentage of abortions today result in death or infertility as opposed to before Roe V. Wade?

The only people I know of who considered Eric and Lyle to be "poor Menedez boys" were a couple members of the first jury. I was unaware that these people had ever gone public with their politics. So I must ask what you are basing that statement on.

Juries, not public opinion determines guilt and punishment. Are you saying that conservatives do not get onto juries? Can you back this statement up?

The Constitution and DOI were NOT based in Judeo-Christian values!!! In fact if you read the First Amendment you will see that there is no preference to be given to any church or religion.

When I was going to elementary school, back in the 60s, we were taught history only from a European standpoint. Had I been not have been of European descent myself, I would have felt as though I must be a second hand citizen. Multi culturalism CELEBRATES our differences, and in it's acceptance we encourage our commonality and our similarities.

One only needs to read the rest of your post to see that this is a case of being called ugly by a toad. You deny the truth whenever it does not promote your agenda.

You have already demonstrated that you have little or no understanding of the First Amendment. When you are done reading that one, keep on going and read THE FIRST PART of the Second Amendment. As such you will see that firearms are protected only by the federal government (as opposed to states, cities, and municipalities) and only in the context of well regulated state militias.

Neither one is true. In the first place, can you name one school-public or private-which does not have a Bible in it's library? There are none.

Isn't this the document written by the authors of the Constitution, the doccument which says that black men are worth only a fraction of of a white man? That said that not only were women not full citizens, but that and that only property owners were entitled to vote?
