🤯 Prediction Unresolved

George will become Jerry's sidekick on a late-night talk show, married with obnoxious children.

Fans speculate what the Seinfeld characters might be like 20 years in the future, inspired by the Mary Tyler Moore/Rhoda revival project.

It's been in the news that Mary Tyler Moore and Valerie Harper are shopping a proposed sitcom reviving their Mary Richards and Rhoda Morganstern characters 20 years later, as divorcees with daughters named for each other.

I was just wondering: If you're Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards or Wayne Knight in 2018 (assuming none go into spinoffs right away), what do you envision your character being like two decades later? How would George, Elaine, Kramer and Newman have changed? Married? Kids? New job? (Jerry doesn't count here because I take him at his word that he'll never do another TV series--though he could always drop in for a sweeps episode, just as I envision Ed Asner, Gavin MacLeod or Betty White doing that for Mary/Rhoda II.)

Let's hear your thoughts on what George, Elaine, Kramer or Newman might be like 20 years hence.

P.S. My favorite J L-D pre-Seinfeld moment was the SNL skit where she parodied Linda Ronstadt's "What's New." Anyone remember that?

away),

My reaction, as a viewer, is that I hope I die first, preferably from a painless illness. Needless to say, I may feel differently when I'm 68. Of course, we'll see what Mary and Valerie come up with first, preferably with anti-nausea drugs close at hand -- both for them and the audience.

However, to fall into the spirit of the message: Elaine will become a librarian and rap patrons across the knuckles when they return books that are more than a week overdue. Kramer will have turned Kramerica into the largest producer of chain letter spam messages on the Net, which by then will be available over AM radio. George will marry a woman with an excellent complexion, especially around the cheeks, who will nag him into taking a job with Kramerica and writing messages that begin "I never thought I'd be the one to tell you this...." Newman will be President of the United States.

And George Steinbrenner will still own the Yankees.

p.s. Now excuse me while I watch "Rescue from Gilligan's Island":.

Would that be the movie where they finally get off the island, or the one where . . . oh, nevermind . . . -Stu "If there is some sort of freaked out psycho, they're probably already in your life."

George...imagine a life like Al Bundy's, married with really obnoxious children...and he now works for Jerry as sidekick on CBS-TV's The Late Show Starring Jerry Seinfeld (Jerry at this point is a rarely-seen presence like Carl Reiner's Allen Brady character on the Dick Van Dyke show, although a kinder, gentler presence). Gets ribbed on the air, just like Johnny Carson used to tease Ed McMahon, and gets turned down when he tries to cut side deals as "compensated spokesman" for Colonial Penn Life and Publishers' Clearinghouse. Lives in Cherry Hill, NJ...unknown to his wife, has an occasional dalliance with the cleaning woman at the Ed Sullivan Theater building where the show is produced, tells Jerry "she really wipes up the floor with me." Once punched out by Marisa Tomei on the air, during her first guest appearance after she won her second Oscar. That incident is credited today with permanently vaulting Jerry past Jay Leno in the Nielsens.

Elaine...she rises to become CEO of the J. Peterman company after Peterman finally disappears (presumed killed) on a foray into some South Pacific jungle. But while the company's profitable, she's under investigation by Uncle Sam for evading taxes on corporate funds converted to personal use. Her lawyers will make a deal keeping her out of jail but forcing her to cough up $11 million in back taxes and penalties. She can afford it. Still seeing David Puddy, still refuses to marry him.

Kramer...conceives some incredibly stupid household product (I dunno, maybe a combination cheese applicator and potato slicer for making fast au gratin potatoes) that hits big and turns Kramerica into the next Ronco, and himself into the successor to Ron Popeil as infomercial king. Every month, a new doofus household gadget, a new infomercial, and millions in revenue. Marries Oh Henry candy bar heiress Sue Ellen Mischke in 2003; they met at a posh golf resort in 2001, the year Kramerica first hit $50 million in annual revenue. (It's a 5 billion dollar company now.) They have a teenage son and daughter, both in prep school and headed for an Ivy League college in a few years. They live in a town house on Manhattan's Park Avenue, purchased recently from the Susan Ross Foundation (which now has its offices in the Kramerica Cen- ter, formerly known as Trump Plaza).

Newman...still a frustrated postman, denied promotion to supervisor once again, and looking forward to retirement in five years. Still hopelessly addicted to Kenny Rogers chicken and Chunky candy bars. Now weighs 330 pounds. Is now wanted for amassing $277,000 in delinquent parking tickets, but never likely to be caught. Still carrying a torch for Babs Kramer, who dumped him for a young Kramerica exec (Cosmo's former intern, now general sales manager) she met at her son's wedding. Enjoyed your scenario, Bob!

I see them all still single, working on and off, meeting at the cafe and grousing about life still! No doubt they will still be dating but all their dates are divorced or widows with alot of baggage and kids. Parents are all still around! Jennifer
