All I have to say is that a commercial for Seinfeld on the Tonight Show showed him telling two jokes; both were taken directly from his standup on "Seinfeld." I was disappointed.

1) Most comedians have real trouble coming up with new material for talk shows. Usually, instead of trying out new material on such a show, they'll do proven bits. Having your own sitcom also uses up material much faster than being on the road. Chances are he would do those same jokes on the road for as much as a year, because they're "new" to each audience. 2) Jerry's made fun of this on his own show. In one episode, Uncle Leo tells him "why don't you get some new material? I've heard that dog routine three times!" Dave
