It was Kramer who said it was Dutch, and you can't expect Kramer to be an authority on much, even though he got a 98 in Biology. :-)

Its a line from the pilot episode. kramer, george and jerry are discussing some food that has a danish sounding name but is made in the US and kramer had been fooled... They FOOLED me Jerry!

I don't think the dutch "gggggggggg" is pronounced like "kkkkkkkhhhhhrrrrrr", it sounds more like clearing your throat. And of course it depends from which part of the Netherlands you are, in the south part of the Netherlands (Brabant and Limburg) the "g" sounds much softer.

But the main reason why Todd Gack can't be Dutch, is because it's not a dutch name.

You don't pronounce Van Gogh "Van Go" either but the Americans do so pronunciation is no guide.
