Elaine on Tom Snyder

Was it just me or did she seen like a errogant little bitch on this show?Maybe she was just tired.

I thought she seemed pleasant. She was nice to the callers. She listened politely to Tom's boring stories.

Unfortunately I didn't see the show, but maybe she was annoyed by Tom? I've watched his show a lot and he bugs the hell out of me. His laugh is really annoying!! I've also seen a lot of people say he's a really bad interviewer. Aparently he really sucked when he interviewed Dave Foley from Kids In The Hall and Newsradio. Anyway, that's my guess....If I had to go on Tom Snyder I'd look like a bitch too, I'm sure!

I just thought she was being super polite and not trying to just do an interview on material, you know you've seen those 'interviews' on Letterman, where Dave says, 'So you got this movie I haven't seen and..."

Dave is then interrupted with our guest launching their pet peeves for six minutes.

Having watched enough of these shows, sometimes interview chemistry can be off. I really love Tom Snyder, but I did not really like his questions this time.

I agree. Snyder is inconsistent. I really enjoy watching him when he interviews his friends, like Kate Mulgrew (have her on every week!), but he doesn't do too well when he can't find a way to emotionally connect, or if an interview gets into subject matter beyond his knowledge base. It can become painfully obvious when the interview is being propped up by staff research and stuff from the guest's pre-interview. Snyder tries to muddle through in such situations, while in contrast Letterman breaks the tension with a joke, or whatever craziness is necessary to keep things from becoming awkward.
